We built the original ‘Pass the Parcel’ Facebook app for M&S, which has since become a viral success. It’s been so successful in fact, that M&S has now been running it for over 10 years.
It’s an online version of the classic childhood game which was created to reward loyal M&S Facebook fans at Christmas. It was the first Facebook campaign that M&S had ever done and it tripled their number of fans during the two weeks it was live. In the first 24hrs, the game was played by 350,000 people and gained 70,000 new fans.
It also helped M&S by sending fans instore to collect their prizes, as well as enable them to target followers with advertising beyond Christmas.
